About our history…

Our history began more than 30 years ago, with the vision of Carlos Solis (father) as one of the pioneers in the recycling industry in Costa Rica, with broad environmental awareness and experience in handling cardboard and paper.

In 2010, the business expands, adding new materials such as PET, HDPE, Aluminum, Tin, and some other fibers that complement our portfolio.

At the beginning of this decade, S&R consolidates as one of the main exporters of recyclable materials in the country.

With more than 7000 m2 of plant for handling, we recover more than 1 million kilograms of materials per month, exporting to 4 continents, and becoming one of the main players in waste management in the country.

We remain in continuous improvement of our processes and search for opportunities, generating capacities and collaborating with industry, government authorities and society in the implementation of the strategy, towards decarbonization and a world without waste.
